Engineering, not slide decks
Dev4me is the development unit of 4me GmbH in Grenchen. We are a small team that handles both the soldering iron and the debugger – and that would rather measure a problem than debate it.
Why Dev4me exists
4me GmbH runs several products – websites, digital signage, ticketing, payment processing. Every one of these projects reached the same point: beyond a certain step there is no product left that fits. A till that has to talk to a barrier. A display that reacts to a sensor. A report that comes together from three systems.
That is exactly what Dev4me is for. We separated this work out of the products and made it visible as a unit of its own – for our own projects and for clients who find themselves at the same point.
What sets us apart from pure software houses: we do not stop at the interface to the hardware. And what sets us apart from pure electronics offices: we deliver the application that turns measurements into decisions.
How we work
Measure, do not assume
An assumption you can measure is no longer an assumption. We build small rigs early to settle the critical questions.
Maintainable before elegant
We write code and draw circuits so that someone still understands them in five years – including someone other than us.
Honest arithmetic
We say early on when a route costs more than it returns. A cancelled project is better than a failed one.
Close to operations
A solution is only finished once it runs day to day. That is why we plan monitoring, maintenance and handover in from the start.
