Embedded systems & firmware
Software for devices: microcontrollers, sensors, actuators and communication – where milliseconds and milliamps count.
On a device there is no restart that nobody notices. Firmware has to cope with scarce memory, hard timing limits, voltage dips and users who pull the plug – and still wake up in a defined state.
We develop firmware for microcontrollers and embedded Linux systems: from bringing up the peripherals through control loops and state machines to secure updates in the field. Part of that is being able to watch the device think later on – through logging, diagnostics and reproducible test rigs.
Typical projects
- 01 Bare-metal and RTOS firmware for ESP32, STM32 and AVR
- 02 Embedded Linux on Raspberry Pi and comparable platforms
- 03 Sensor and actuator connections via I²C, SPI, UART, CAN and analogue circuitry
- 04 Low-power operating modes for battery and solar operation
- 05 Secure field updates including a fallback level
